CHOJUBAI

Nice one Sergio! How long have you had it?

Now that's cute!

It's not too far out from being one of the most realistic minis I seen!

Nice Water basin!

Don has some great ones of these on his website. And probably more lurking in the wings.

I'm working on getting miniature jaws of life on the BSD's....
Recon missions proved they are in a greenhouse!

About a year and a half or so. Still figuring them out. As I understand it, they have a tendency of shedding almost all leaves at the end of summer. When that happened last year I thought something was terribly wrong with it. But no, that's what they do while it is hot and everything else is in full leaf.

Yes he does! But then again he always has other really nice stuff that's not even posted.

I think it looks even more realistic completely bare. Basin holds waterlilies that are just walking up for spring. :)

Sharing my mame chojubai in flower. This tree originally came from Don Blackmond.

This is a very nice little tree. Any idea how old it is? I bought a tiny white one at MABS from Julian Adams. Wondering how long it will take to get as big a trunk as yours?

Thanks Fred. Still getting the hang of these guys. I didn't think I had any flowers until one day they were there!
Yeah they sneak up on you. One morning you have a little green button and it rapidly explodes in size, turns red, opens up and puts on a show.

Sandy sorry no idea. Perhaps Don might know? Good luck with yours and enjoy it. I saw some amazing ones at the Taikan-Ten vending area at "reasonable" prices ($1000 +).

Yes amazing how it happens but they do sneak up on you!

Nice one, Sergio!

I'd love to get a red chojubai but I'm just not willing to pay the prices I see for most of them. If anyone has a rooted cutting they'd be willing to part with for a reasonable cost, let me know! I'm willing to take the time and work on developing it.

I'm the second one...one of my dream plants. Will pay shipping overseas sure.
