Looking back over the old posts in this thread is kinda painful. I made so many beginner mistakes on my trees in my first couple years. I'm sure looking back in the future I'll cringe at some of the mistakes I'm currently making, but it's a continuous learning process. Here is this tree today, re-potted at a new angle, with the old back as the new front. It still needs a new glazed pot.

Looks pretty cool out of leaf!!! Nice job, and it certainly is unique.

I think I would like to take a look at it in a round container? The current pot doesn't seem to enhance the design of the piece.

Thanks! It's definitely an odd one, and the pot is bad for sure. I just didn't have a bunch to choose from at repotting time, and have never really liked this one enough to seek out a pot for it. I was thinking I'd find a good rock to plant it in eventually.

I think this tree is very cool but something about the canopy is bothering me. I think it needs to continue the slant and be flatter. The canopy seems too upright to me. The triangle of foliage looks a little weird on that trunk. But it's still a great tree either way.

I agree. After it settles into this pot I'm gonna put a guy wire on it and pull it down to the left. I'll thin it out and reevaluate when it drops its leaves.
