Boxwood

A lot of people seem to think only conifers can have deadwood features, but I like the jin. It makes it a lot more interesting since there's not a lot of taper on the trunk.

If you're going to have a jin, make it look like a broken branch :D The current jin is far too smooth and regular to match the rugged bark on the tree. I'd snap it in half, then take a dremel to the remaining portion and roughen it up.

Jin

Definitely. I agree. Not done. Just posting the progress. Really hope this stays alive through the winter. Fingers crossed! Guessing this could only be styled like a "park tree". It's definitely big and heavy though. Thanks for everyone's input! Love to hear feedback so I can learn more.

Looking good. Boxwoods are tougher than given credit for most of the time.
Can I ask why didn't you post the pictures in the thread?

Im putting pictures on the site with my phone. Sorry about that. Laptop out being fixed. I'm really not computer savvy! Thanks richkid. Not sure about height I'll have to measure. The trunk is about 6'' in diameter. Saw it at a Burger King near my work. Looked like it was banged up a few times over the years. Looked like it had potential, so I got the district managers phone #. And asked him if I can have it if I replace it with another. He said go ahead! So grabbed it about 3 weeks ago. so just trimmed a little and thought that branch that I'm attempting to Jin would maybe work.

I have to ask that i want to get complete information about Boxwood if you have any more information than share here i would glad to you...
