Thought I might post up some of the trees I styled getting ready for the
Joshua Roth New Talent Competition... I have labeled these Box Store Junipers
even though they didn't come from a Big Box Store per say, they were just from
a typical nursery, not Bonsai related, and they were only $7 dollars. The only
difference between these and the Box Store Challenge that we all took part of
is that they were in 2 gallon pots. I have put in some of the picture a pair of
7" jin pliers for reference of scale.

I have quite a few of these that I am going to post up and think it would be better
to try and put them on different threads so that in the hopes that they possibly could
be critiqued and perhaps discussed, and that perhaps some newer to Bonsai could
learn a couple of new things so that when the next Box Store Challenge comes up,
we can all see some really awesome stuff!!!

No smoke and mirrors here... I didn't alter any with photoshop, some are still a little
rougher than others, some you might like some perhaps not, that's cool. If you don't like
them that's fine say so... If you like say so as well, but in order for everyone to possibly
learn please explain why, you like them or don't and try and critique them as if you were
a Judge. Thanks !!!

If one would like to see before pics of what these trees looked like please check out
the Box Store Juniper#1 thread I created.

Here is Juniper #7

I like this one. Twisty. Hard to see what's going on with the branching behind the foliage.

This one is quite literally about 4 inches tall... so, as to actually preserve the
Life of the tree, I felt it best to not remove any more foliage than I have done.
It will take a bit of time to compact the foliage in tight where one can eliminate
The outer foliage and provide more detail of what lies within as well as to be able to
Create some negative space.
