Well, my bougies are getting beat up a little so far this winter. They caught a draft and dropped their leaves but I relocated them and they seem to be recovering. I'm going to need more practice wiring/bending these. At least they root easily.
- There is a hint of a bend where the trunk crosses the edge of the pot. I think I want it bent back on itself in a fairly tight hairpin, then twisting back out into a semi-cascade. I plan to put it in a mesh pot to add some size in the spring.
- This one is a bit thicker around the trunk. It just "donated" the top 6 inches or so to a new cutting. A grow pot is probably in it's future.
- This guy just keeps growing. My first "accidental" cutting that rooted. I'm not sure what to do, other than move it up to a bigger pot. Also, a lovely view of Parkdale in winter.
- This is a happy little guy... just letting him grow for now. Might make a mame or shohin so I can have something in a bonsai pot.
- The long suffering mother plant, slowly recovering from the cold draft. More cuttings and a repot into better soil in the spring. I want to layer or do cuttings of the trunk once the weather starts improving.
