I just figured I’d throw a random picture of my bonsai bench up there for people to check out.

I know a lot of it needs to be trimmed and shaped but it’s all just a work in progress. It’s always a work in progress lately.

Looks like a working bonsai bench. Nothing wrong with that. Looks great! Like the variegated plant. Is that ficus or bougainville?

Never enough time in the day to wire, trim, shape, and do what needs to be done. There is so much on the that bench I wish I had the time to wire, trim and shape. To me it looks so unprofessional and disorganized.

It is a time consuming hobby for sure! Don't beat yourself up. They all dont have to be show ready all the time. My bench looks about the same...maybe worse.

Yup, I sell them to local beginners who aren’t interested in mallsai. I’ve been growing bonsai since the age of 8. I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t growing something. In fact, I still have some of those trees from my youth, including a couple trees I planted when each of my boys were born, now that my boys are mid twenties, I can’t believe how old some of my bonsai trees are. (Makes me feel like I’m getting old myself) Definitely need to sell a few and anytime your I’m the area, you are more than welcome to come check out my trees. I always enjoy the company of other bonsai enthusiasts.
