Blaauw Juniper

Thanks Will!

I may say f... Winston Churchill and find inspiration in fortified spirits :cool:

As I believe I said (I'n not sure) as I have not gone back and re-read the entire thread since it's revival, I am at a fork in the road so to speak wrt this one. There is several ways to go with it and I need to make my mind up soon wrt to which way I want to go. You are right wrt my comfort zone wrt deadwood. Although I have received my burins and have used them, I think I will practice my craft on a lab experiment I have lying around ;)

On the other hand, discussing it with Ruth, she does like the direction I/we might take with it (we = Dorothy's virt, or my base with Dorothy's top).

There is another tree in there as well that would call for a good reduction of the top. I was hoping for greater back budding on the back of the tree which didn't come. At this point I am debating how much more time I am willing to invest in "wasted energy" so to speak by keeping the top on an apically dominant tree. Of course, the base would be styled a la Bristlecone.

Thank God it's winter here and I can enjoy a few libations and the tree can rest in all safety for the time being ;););)

BTW I ran across a couple of flame pots last week, are you still interested in them? If so send me a PM.

It's always nice to put off decisions because of the weather . . . :)

I might be interested in flame pots, but they would have to be of the quality we scored on before. I've seen a few now and then since then, but they looked cheaply done. Let me know.

Will
