In fact, some might say the pseudomonas syringae is ubiquitous, being a hygroscopic nucei, or cloud condenser, which falls ouf the sky in precipitation.
As these critters are responsible for more frost damage to plants than any other organism, most bonsai folks use copper sprays on their dormant trees a couple times during the winter as a preventative.
