How thick are you looking for? It’ll be difficult for me to source thick walled Bamboo to make chopsticks. Is there any other type of material that would be similar in hardness to timber Bamboo. Maybe oak or maple?
I have some titanium chopsticks. They’re great for loosening soil, but they don’t compare to the bamboo wedge cut ones for working the soil in. The tapered shape of the tip and the girth of them is faster and more effective in my (limited, low skill) experience. Are you against steel or titanium chopsticks? I haven't used bamboo chopsticks in decades...
This is a great tip, I’m gonna give that a try.I hijacked my girlfriends wooden knitting needles, not sure what wood they are but they kick ass lol. A quick search pulls up some girthy ones.

Wood chopsticks don't last for me. I would even use 12" galvanized steel spikes before I used bamboo I don't have time to be "resharpening" my repotting tools, lol.I prefer steel chopsticks rather made of wood
