Big Country Bonsai

I recently moved back to my hometown of Abilene and was wondering if there is anyone practicing bonsai in the area. I lived in Dallas for school and unfortunately only got into bonsai a few months before it was time to move back home. The plus side is there’s lots of land and trees in the area... just need to get to know some land owners so I can possibly collect some nice trees. Tons of Ashe juniper. They just bulldoze it because they say it sucks all the water out and a lot of people are allergic to the pollen. Hopefully that means I can get some nice ones eventually.
