"Officer, I was walking along and stumbled on rock or something. I lost my balance and began falling off the edge of a boulder and grabbed this twig sticking out of a crack. It held me just long enough to keep from falling over the edge. Unfortunately, it came lose at the last minute. I'm glad you stopped me because I'm not sure what I should do with it. It did help save me from falling so I'd like to keep it if I can? Maybe I can stick it in pot and keep it alive?"
