this would be my first attempt of an air layering of any kind but I can't pass this try up. if the new neighbors buy the place he is going to have it cleared off. the lady is in her late 60's that owns the place and it was her mother's home. it has a lot of different kind's of bushes, tree's and flowers.
and a few (smoke tree's) from what she told me it was. all the picture's I've looked at on line look like the tree.
I have read through the forum here and watched many you tube videos on this but not sure when to try it.

my question is when should I try this? time of year?
thank's for advice.

here is a few pic's of tree. pic 3 is of a smaller one.

That doesn't look like smoketree to me.

It might be too late to airlayer now in your area. I usually do it after the spring leaves have hardened.

thank's Poink , she may have told me wrong but it has this bloom on it in the spring.
i thought this was a SM tree.
