There is a very cool, contorted old Aspen up the street from me and I would like air layer a sizeable branch, that might be 1-1.5" or so in diameter. If anyone has had experience with this or knowledge, thoughts about this I would appreciate the help. Thanks

I haven’t tried this personally, but I have dug up some aspen with basically no roots that were suckering from a parent tree. Some took, some didn’t.
But this leads me to believe that it would be well worth your try if it’s a cool tree.
Is it low enough you could do a ground layer?
