i think i was trying to get shorter internodes by a summer chop. had so many. been trying different things.

Acer palmatum will not survive in the Florida Keys. Trust me.

I know this was a while ago… but it still lives… in the Florida Keys. We got a pretty bad saltwater flood last October and she took a hit but came back pretty good!

most of my maples died in my 4 years of only doing very basic maintenance with lots of mistakes but i definitely still have a few. plan to start updating this thread again soon with some fall cleanup pics. I have lost alot. it makes me sick looking at these pictures. i had some special plants out of this lot. hopefully in the coming years, i can try again.

Sorry to hear that. It always sucks when we lose a tree. I try and think of each dead tree as a lesson. I'm glad to hear you have some left and I can't wait to see your progress with them.
