First up is a Rocky Mtn. Juniper that I received yesterday. I went to get some copper wire from a friend and gave him a hand moving his large trees out of the greenhouse. As a thank you he gave me this beauty, collected by one of the northwest's most respected yamadori collectors. What an awesome thank you! Safe to say that I'm the grateful one now.
Next up is an azalea collected at the hospital I work at. I have talked with our groundskeeper about possibly collecting landscape material when the hospital is going to get rid of it. He gave me a heads up on Friday that they are going to clear a small section this weekend, and that I should dig anything I want before it disappears. I found this awesome trunk all ready to go. My first lunch break hospital yamadori! Pic is from the back of my car in the parking garage since we were having a rain and wind storm when I got it.
Last up is this shimpaku that I got from a local club member who is moving into a condo and has to get rid of almost everything. Picked it up for next to nothing and I think it has some very good potential!
