I call it 'Minimalisticz'

It's still in development, but by definition it won't develop much anyway.

It's beautiful, it's cheap, and yet I hope I will make a lot of friends, and fans, and money with this concept.

I ain't joking either

Would I make you my enemy if I said I didn't like it? The fact that you do makes it OK with me but I kind of doubt that you are going to get many really favorable responses.

Good God Man! Put some curves into that poor nekkid tree!:D
Irene

I thought I would thin the foliage out a little................

keep it green,
Harry

The good news is that the tree has reached its full potential. This is as good as it will get.

Love it or hate it, this is it.:)

Chances are that it will not make you rich (unless you can collect a dollar from every bonsaist who doesn't like it), but it is a good conversation piece. It is also educational, since it will make you re-visit your beliefs and expectations about bonsai. It will make you ask questions like "why did I get into bonsai in the first place".

I am serious: in a Zen-sort-of-way, this tree can teach you everything you need to know about bonsai and yourself, if you spend every day one minute looking at it.

Here are two Zen monks talking about this tree:

Monk #1: Can you see the August Moon hovering behind the branches of this tree?
Monk #2: (strikes Monk#1 with a stick on the head)
Monk #1: Aouch! Why didid you hit me with that stick?
Monk #2: Can you feel the pleasure in the pain from the blow of my stick?

Giacometti did it, why not you?
This is the wrong audience, take it to Milano.

The term, "A stick in a pot" comes to mind...

And if it dies, you can always use it for a swizzle stick...:D call it "minimalswizzlstix"

There is a literati style. Is there now an illiterati style?:p

You got me Will...now that made me laugh. I also like the title of your picture....windswept? That was one hell of a wind.

It inspires the Zen Poet in me - perhaps a haiku appears in a cloudless mind:

White, black, spring green, brown

Old pond, splash, Basho drowns, rots

Stick, some leaves and dirt
