A great Loss for Bonsai

RIP Harry .Thoughts and prayers to his family.

His presence will be missed, and his contributions to the art will continue to be appreciated.

It wasn't that long ago that we lost another Brit, who contributed much to our art and that was
Mr. Adams. He was married to an american, Kate and I often wonder if anyone knows how she is doing.

RIP,Harry...

For decades he had the best overall book on bonsai there was. He also had a great sense of humor. How many remember these ads on the back of Art of Bonsai, the original European magazine?

Sad news! One of the first Bonsai books I ever owned was written by him...

My first book on bonsai was written by Harry Tomlinson.
I'm sad to hear this news.

This is really sad - I met him when I did a day's workshop as a kid (about 25 years a go). He showed me round his personal collection too, I'll always remember suddenly coming face to face with many of the trees from his books, from the covers of (UK) "Bonsai" mag and even a Juniper I'd seen Hotsumi Terakawa demo on at the NEC expo the year before.

He was a genuinely nice bloke, I'd always wanted to do more workshops and will always regret not doing so.
