46th Annual Mid-America Bonsai Exhibition August 16-18, 2024 Chicago Botanical Garden

Looking forward to the show. I will be there on Saturday.

I'm looking forward to it. I'll be there Saturday and will be doing a workshop on Saturday morning. Looking forward to see all of what the show has to offer, as it's my first ever.

If you seen a nerdy woman walking around today with short blonde hair and a green Milwaukee Bonsai society lanyard say hi!

Great show. I visited Andy's booth and bought a few trees. Also picked up a JBP, Ponderosa Pine and a trident maple. Took a Itoigawa Juniper workshop with Mark Fields, which was excellent. Lasted around 4 hours and it was fantastic.

The Midwest show is always a biggie….
Dan Robinson pegged my “totally garbage not worth a damn horrible species to work with”* Eastern Red Cedar is a future great example of “tall timber bonsai” and that was 25+ yrs ago

*in the concept of the establishment East Coast bonsai aficionados
