That artistic scarification...on a deciduous tree. Where we are taught to seek a flawless trunk. I think had me at hello. Laurent Darrieux has a very artistic/chaos style. I do love it. His student Herve Dora less confusion in the branch structure. I'm looking for a complimentary mesh of the two with my own. Time will tell... it may lean more chaos. Lol but I'm placing branches with purpose of a still somewhat triangular canopy that soothes me.

Thanks on the kind words of the maple. Martin Doen was the creator of building that trunk from rootstock. Grafting...pure genius. I can't believe it ended up on my bench. A true honor.
