They pretty much grew out in a couple seasons, they were not deep scars.

I am happy where this it getting at too, I must admit!
It has doubled the number of branches since the picture was taken. I defoliated, wired and fertilized heavily last week in the hope to get another flush and some extentions & more side-branches. IF that happens, I believe it is ready to be submitted to a big winter show. Just need to figure out how to get it to flower in the last week of February..
