Albas' Acorn to Oak Tree Thread

Hello, I'm new around here so this is my first entry on the constests.

So I happened to travel to the Texas two months ago, and I brought this Acorns, so that's great timing.
One type is Southern Live Oak, the other is the one I attached an pic have a quite small leaf when compared to some other oaks, if anyone can identify please let me know.

So I'm planing to sow it tomorrow.
But should I do it now (it's summer here) and take all the care tru winter (it's not that harsh here, about 0°C = 32°F), or should I wait for summer to pass?
Because I've read they last for about four months. Also, since is not winter here, should I stratify them?

So, I've read that I should stratify, so here we go.

It's in a ziplock bag with some moist cocopeat(ish) soil, now on the refrigerator.

So yep, fingers crossed, hope everything goes fine.

Okay, so it seems like I wasn't lucky so far, so I might try to get more acorns to keep my entry going!

We have the same luck. So far I have one out of 30 sprouting. Not good.

For several years I collected coast live oak acorns and planted them. Some years nearly everything sprouted. One year I got only 1 to sprout, others in between. Just can't tell about acorns.
