It's officially the last day of my holidays so thought I'd do something productive and decided to dig this boug that was in a silly spot to begin with, plus the neighbour keeps tipping them as they grow higher than the wall so thought I'd do him a favour, lol.
This is the sister tree to the other cascade of mine, when we moved in both bougies were pencil thin sticks.

So you can see where it was before digging.

And this was the roots and base that came up.

Not a lot there but that seems normal enough.

And finally potted up.IMG_20191007_113756578.jpgIMG_6953x.JPG

Just needs some cut paste in a few spots and going to keep it dampish while recovering and we're good to go.

Cheers, hope so too. It should do ok, I've not lost a boug that I have dug yet so touch wood this continues the run.

Don't know about the base yet, I forgot that I wired that pencil thin stick years ago so it had some well cut in wire at that bulby point. There probably is a good case to whack some soil in a container around it now. I'll sit with the tree a few nights and see what happens.

Bougainvillea are very resilient should be fine. I have a couple in my yard I am going to dig up one of these days.
