Timed Forcing Flowers? - Bluebell (Trifidacanthus unifoliolatus aka. Desmodium)

I'd love some translation help here! Another member posted a link to this gentlemen's channel and he seems to be speaking about forcing flowers in Vietnamese Blue Bell to hit a specific holiday.

I've never attempted this with a Bluebell - but I'd sure like to know if it works effectively. From what I can tell, he is recommending not watering the trees for a set period of time, until the tree begins to defoliate from the stress. Then he strips the remaining leaves down, wires to shape and cuts back. Then starts watering again as normal. And within roughly two weeks the stress response of the tree is to push out a new batch of leaves + flowers.

Anyone here using this technique? I'm really curious if these can be timed like we do with Azalea or Bougainvillea for shows and the like.
