Just back from our bi-annual trip to St Louis where we bought a Japanese red pine dragon eyes.
This fellow is for landscape purpose, it's already planted in the ground, and we love it really!
However the bonsai virus in me is acting up and I was wondering if this species could be use for bonsai?
Not for now but in a couple of years - may be sooner - I'm sure some of the lower branches will need to go and if they don't I'll make sure I find a reason to explain why they really have to go, by layering of course...
I searched the web but couldn't find pictures or info on this species as bonsai, so, possible or not?
