Hello there!
That is so cool. It's a personal choice, but if it was me who had to choose I would go for the first one.

The guys is fantastic to work with. Really helpful, gave him the general direction and made a batch to pick from!

Other fronts to the pots?

The top seems to suit movement in the other direction, but I like it better.

Though I think when actually potted I'd like the other.

Can we see the other 2?

I like the first. In the second one the flare of the pots rim is to distracting to me. It looks very chunky to my eyes. I like the cleaner lines of the first and the pot imperfections mimic the tree trunk flaws well. The first pot to me anchors the tree without distraction.

@sorce the other 2. First one has too make straight lines and a bit of a flat front. Second one is great but not for the tree. Too thick

Neither. Personal choice sees these as gradeschool level waste of clay. Not to be compared to sincere gifts of children to parents☺️.

How do these scale? What I mean to say.. They look on the large side for the pine you have there. Are the pots to scale?

I like pot nr 4 the best, but agree, the walls are too heavy.

Who is the potter?

It's Dragonfly Bonsai Pots, he sells some on EBPC
This is the scaling

He does make lovely pots, really unique. He is the nicest guy to work with too, really helpful

The texture and cracked look on Nr two would work. I am not sure about the shape. Too round for me

Forgot to say, the tree is new to my collection last year. Collected by Thor Holvila a few years ago. Growing with just the apex sticking out the snow (before the big bend was put in)
