this year, above losing a lot of my wages to taxes per usual, stretching the dollar out with these prices, not buying steak anymore, etc.
i sent 3 large 1-topping quality pizzas over to a local Midas, yesterday, where the front room manager and all the crew work 6 out of 7 days a week, wrenching on wet cars, and usually very friendly about it, they dont complain but dont have much. James always is polite, he has 4 kids and is in his early 30s, works hard. no teeth, dental coverage. he thanked me for the pizzas. i did give him a big pack of steaks a few years ago for his family (not sure how hed chew them) but they are too expensive for me now, buying bottom roast and slow cooking on sundays to make cheaper cuts palatable

I really thought seriously about asking for the discount @sorce, there's a couple of pots on your website that I like a lot. But I have bought more pots than I have trees for and since @penumbra called me EASY, I'm on a pot buying hiatus . I am disappointed in the response to this thread. This is the season of giving and surely a few more people could spare a little for a good cause.

Sure Carol, blame the old guy for stating the obvious. I get no respect.
But seriously, I so agree with your sentiment. I don't understand how hard it can be to make a simple gesture to help a family in need anytime, but particularly now. You don't need a lot to give a little. For the price of a pack of smokes and a beer, or a big mac & fries, or maybe like me, a pint of Haagendazs and a slice of cheesecake.
Whatever you poison, almost anyone can help here...... and it does feel good.
