Can someone please estimate an age for these trees?
These were just collected from a landscape. And there are many more that look the same. Enjoy.

Gee, you have stumps and cannot count rings?

Usually one ring per season, though environmental conditions can sometimes make one season't rings look like two. Being dug from a landscape, though, probably means you'll be right counting one ring per season and/or one ring = one year.

I've had nothing but bad luck with this species. They like to die when you disturb their roots. I hope your experience is better than mine.

Yea will see I had some fine roots leftover but it sure was a mess. Also the rings I could count were around 10-15 years old

I'd like to hear how this goes. I have lots of kinnikinnik around here, but have heard they are very difficult to collect.
