Sick moss ?

Had a big lump of bright green moss mounded in a pot about 4 years ago.
Took a scoop out and put in a little pot.

Now not bright green. ???
Any remedy or toss it?

The pot sits in a dish of water so it can get what it needs, Or doesn't need.

My moss changes color pretty often especially when it goes dormant. When I found mine it was a completely dry brown blob but once it gets wet it turns green. If it gets too much Sun it will also dry out and turn brown but it always comes back. Mine looks like a different type of moss though.

Will try. The decline has been slow.
