I found these spots at the lower part of this tree today. Hoping they don't go up any further, but does anyone recognize this? I sprayed some Safer, but it doesn't look like bugs to me, looks like some fungus, but aren't Zelkova's resistant to most problems? Any and all suggestions welcome!
Thanks, Vic

Hi Vic, looks like it has anthracnose, fungal disease, caused by wetness (that's why you see it in the lower part of the tree). Treatment: remove and destroy affected parts. Prevention: avoid overhead watering at sunset. Bonhe

Thanks, Bonhe. I really don't do much watering late in the day..... work nights, but maybe it was rain, or I might have hit them late on a weekend. I'll look up some images of Anthracnose. Vic
