I recently got in to this species with an exposed root Premna. Scored a few more from Mike Lane. Two more humbler shohin/mame sized ones are sitting on my benches growing. Oh and I just bought 4 more but they are likely for sale later this year. šŸ¤£ šŸ¤£

The first ones are in pots finally. (If you are my friend on the Book of Faces you've already seen these) Two Josh Jeram pots, a Dale and one of mine made from extruder scraps...

What do you like most about the species?
I am fairly new to this particular species- got the exposed root one about in February. They check a lot of boxes... Do well inside under lights, fairly tolerant of "loose horticulture"- random temperature changes, watering habits, tolerate styling well- either wiring or clip 'n grow, etc. I live in SE Texas so I am in "sub tropical" clime. Some tropicals are just fussier than I care to deal with these days- buttonwoods for example. While they bear a strong resemblance to boxwoods, I believe one of their common names is Tiawanese boxwood, they have a smaller leaf and tighter growth. I also tend to avoid trees that are this small but its kind of nice to have a few that are so portable.

Do you have more pictures of that blue pot that looks like a tree busted through the side of it?

Cool trees! Also love the funky pots, reminds me of denim/jeans fabric :D

Any plans for the 3rd image/neagari looking one? I just got one like that as well, but I have no clue what direction to take it.
