I see a few cuttings on etsy and way expensive cuttings in bonsai pots but would really love a 1 or 3 gallon "house plant" . Naturally, I would split the plant into many different trees.

Any vendor recommendations? I did some searching and didn't find anything. I have been looking locally for about 3 years with no luck.

Check .99 auction on FB. Have not looked this week but normally there are several on there.

Also send Jason Schley a message on FB. Not sure what he has but anything will be quality.

So Jack, if you feel like driving South on I-77 to Coshocton... Bring something cold hardy to trade or? Not a fan of the sissy tropicals anymore.

Jack,
It might be your lucky day, about 2 years ago the owner of Jupiter Bonsai, Allen Carver and I were forming a partnership, I'm a good propagator and he had a 10 acre bonsai nursery, mostly overgrown pre-bonsai , his 11 year old daughter got killed in their driveway, was served divorce papers and the property was to be sold but first all the
nursery related items had to be removed at $750 per 40 yard container, he sold truckloads of material, some to Jason Schley ( I sell him liners and my stoneware bonsai pots, he is a fair guy, I sold him my '99 Dodge 2500 4x4 5.9 cummins). When the nursery was picked over Allen asked me to salvage as much material as I wanted, I hauled off ratty overgrown material killing about half of the 400+ 3gal,7gal, and 15 gal trees after barerooting and putting most in 1/4" lava. I am considering moving from this shithole that Palm Beach County has become and moving to the sticks 250 miles north, 20 minutes north of Jason"s nursery in Deland. I have come to the conclusion that I can not keep my permenent bonsai collection and weed, fertilize and trim another 250 pre-bonsai. Most of my trees from Allen are between 15 to 30 years old, most except for the 15 gal Dividivis and 15 Bucida spinosas have been cut back to a hard trunkline. I found in the mix 3 Bucida spinosa super dwarf that I am strikng and growing under mist red tip cuttings from!
There are Ficus nerifolia, Brazilian Raintrees, Desmodium, Neea buxifolia, Melochia tomentosa, Mousetail Plants, Japanese Black Pines, Xylosma bahamensis, Styrocanthes hamata and about 25 Melaleuca alternifolia. I'm striking cuttings and airlayering the Melaleuca for my next project as I've never seen it anywhere else except for Allens nursery, he died at the end of July 2022. I also collect Bald Cypress and urban yamadori .
Tell me your budget and I will see if I have a tree to fit it, the price of the tree and actual shipping.

We visited his nursery a couple of weeks ago when we were in Daytona Beach. He was very gracious, showing us around the newly organized nursery and even sharing his private collection with us. I picked up another BRT and a kinzu with a cool twisty trunk. Even my non-bonsai loving husband enjoyed it.
