Masterpiece
Well, not that much attention: I did, however, finally decide to put it into a new pot after my dog knocked it off the wall this past winter.
I never liked the old pot anyway. Was glad to see it broken, if the truth be told. My wife would never let me change it, though.
I separated the juniper, which I'd looked after more or less for years, from the pot shards, its rootball intact, and just left it sitting there on the driveway all these many months, hiding under/behind some larger trees.
I was planning to get it back into a pot at some point, but it didn't seem like an emergency - it seemed to thrive sitting there, VERY happy with its exposed root ball.
My wife saw it there the other day. Unlike the juniper, she was NOT very happy.
Its now in a nice Erin pot that seems to suit it well. I'll probably do some maintenance or styling or something on it someday.
I have it on the best authority that my junipers would take on a more fetching topiary look if only I would fertilize and pinch them. Alas.
