Hey guys, very recently started working on this White Oak yamadori. Looks really messy currently, and waiting for some new buds to open up (it'll look better next year). 
White Oak material (Quercus Alba).

Looks like it is planted in mud, black mud?
What are your plans. What diameter is the trunk now, and how tall do you want the finished tree to be.

Sorry about the camera quality, my contrast is way off it's not mud it's soil. The trunk diameter is about .75 of and inch, and for now I'm going to let the tree grow a bit. The bark is my favorite part though
