White eggs?

This is on my seigen JM. Does anyone know what it is and do I need to remove it from my tree. Thank you for your help

Could it be scale? Hard to tell from the pictures

Kind of looks like a scale similar to what I dealt with the past month or so. If there are just a few you can try mechanically and organically removing them, but I had poor results and sprayed it once with Malation which worked, or is at least keeping them in check for now. If they come back I will probably just deal with them when I dormant spray.
 
It looks similar to Crepe Myrtle Scale.
 
The leaf makes it look like part of powdery mildew.

Burn it though....fersure!

It is not a terrible case of scale but things can get out of control quickly during the growing season. I don't see very much scale on maples and I suspect you have a host tree nearby. Regardless of which treatment you use (there are many) be sure to hit it good with a dormant oil spray when it defoliates. Spray the host tree too, if you can find one.
