Collected this Eastern Hemlock over the winter. Didn't look so big from the bottom of the cliff I had to climb to get it.
Maybe 3-4 ft. tall and 4-5 in trunk. Hope to get it a bit more compact over the coming years. It is flowering now and pushing new growth slowly. I love it even if it's not really Bonsai yet. It's bonsai-able.IMG_20170406_112244996.jpg IMG_20170522_180344345_HDR.jpg IMG_20170522_180606133.jpg

This Trident is just material on a ten year plan and weighs 575lbs in this box.
The flare on the trunk base is a easy 20" of knarly callous from a push out years ago. I aim to remove more than half of this trunk mass in carving.image.jpeg

@Stickroot

You got problems Bro!

Are you making bonsai or just supporting the nation's Chiropractors?

The only way you can sell those is when they are $ enough to reasonably include a free forklift with purchase....

You got a better chance selling em on a bodybuilding forum....

Or at a brothel....
I Heard big wood goes over well there...

Jesus!

Pre-Bonsai???
I never agreed with the term pre-bonsai,,,
I can understand people looking at a plant before it's fully develop and saying it will eventually be a nice bonsai.
But if you break down the word pre- and break down the word bonsai .
I guess it would come out to be .
(Before you put it in the pot ?)
But that's just my opinion .
