About 10 days ago I prunned a fukien tea. Today I saw a leave of it in a pot that was close, so I pulled it and.....what the heck, it was rooting....

Didn´t know this was possible with fukien tea. I guess the right conditions applied. So one more trick if you want to reproduce a fukien tea.

Most of the time people choke Fukien tree and then ask why it won't thrive.
PS: I need to make a meme with that theme.
 
@Fidur ficus will do the same thing. I had a benjamina leaf going for months, it had a root system that filled a shot glass. It never threw up any shoots.
 
There are probably several tropicals that can form roots on leaves that will not produce shoots. Pepperomia is another.
