FYI (Yes, I googled ur signature): Marinus (Rinus) van der Lubbe (13 January 1909 – 10 January 1934) was a Dutch council communist convicted of, and executed for, setting fire to the German Reichstag building on 27 February 1933, an event known as the Reichstag fire.

Marinus was a man with downs. Who other than having a compelling urge to be "good", was probably more than a little confabulated.

For this they hung him with piano wire...

And yes, it was possible for him to have done the crime the Nazi's hung him for.
