I can't seem to find a 10" round bonsai or training pot (that's about 3" - 4" deep). tried google and ebay and amazon.

any suggestions?

thanks.

Try House of Bonsai here. He has a lot of sizes, if this particular one is not right.

Looks nice and sturdy. Do check the actual inside dimensions...you might need to get the next size to compensate for the lip/rim if you really need 10".

yeah, saw those. don't mind plastic at all. but, 5" is too deep.

For training, I actually prefer (a bit) bigger and deeper pots than the final pot. I guess it depends on your goal. Mine is to build thicker branches since most of my trees already have the trunk. I may shift to smaller ones when I am developing ramification and reducing root ball in preparation for the final pot.

You've got several good leads, good luck with the choice! :)

I don't know where you live in PA, but there are several places that offer containers you can see in person. Nature's Way Nursery in Harrisburg, Meco Bonsai in Lancaster, Rosade Bonsai near Philly, and Ron Lang is close to State College, I believe. Those are just a few. I'm sure there are more. Keep looking, you will find what you are looking for. I find that in this hobby, patience is key. With your trees as well as supplies. If you look hard enough, and search long enough, you usually can find whatever you want. Heck, you have several months until potting season in your area anyways. Good luck.
