Tricolored elm bark

In America one of their common names (besides chinese elm) is lace bark elm. Because they have such beautiful mottled bark. I think it's their greatest feature personally. They are gray when young and as they age the color begins to show as bark falls off

There are a lot of Elms here with very beautiful orange and gray trunks.

LOVE the tire swing..

I think the tire needs to be a LITTTTTTLE bigger.. and it'd be perfect.... (Or you could prune the tree to match!! 😂😂)

This is an annual feature of the smooth or 'lace' bark Chinese elms. As the old bark drops off it reveals the fresh orange colors underneath. Those gradually fade until the trunk is mottled greys again for the rest of the year.
