Tree or not?

a storm last spring had broke alot of trees and shrubs there were lots of sticks laying in my yard. one of them started to grow this year so i put it into a pot. the thing is i dont know if its a tree or not.it was laying on its side but roots had grone i planted it up right and cut roots from the top. all the leaves started to wilt this was all about 3 weeks ago. now the leaves hve got more life to them and even started to grow upright. can any one tell me if this is a tree and if so what kind?

I have no idea personally ... but if it is... they do make nice bonsai with the foliage turning a bright red in fall

I agree, I have a bunch of them in my yard and to answer your question it's a vine not a tree, but I have seen some larger specimens as bonsai
