As the title says, I'm thinking of trying a small, 5 tree ficus forest.
Would Ficus benjamina be a good choice?
Has anyone ever trunk chopped a ficus? Does it work?
Other suggestions?

Thanks

That's a Ficus microcarpa, which make great bonsai candidates. I personally wouldn't do a benjamina Ficus forest, but that's probably because I just don't believe benjamina make decent bonsai for those that don't live in warm climates. They're picky when it comes to backbud and aren't big fans of being moved.

Willow Leaf Ficus also make excellent material for use.
