The Bonsai Master Myth...

If I were to put all on ignore that have failed to show a really good bonsai on this site, I would only have about a dozen people to converse with. If your not posting some nice trees your just using up bandwidth.....sorry, that's the way I feel.
Could lesser beings ask respectful questions?
 
Zone 10, that's like south Florida. Does anyone here grow Hinoki in zone 10?
More similar to California climate tho, but I dunno, hardiness zones seem a bit unreliable to me, or atleast not always very relevant.
For example we have Austrian black pines here in zone 9 (off the coast), but Austrian black pines are 3-7 hardiness!
We also have forests of Taxus baccata with thousands of years, but again Taxus baccata should be 5-7 hardiness.
Hinoki is 4-8 ? According to zones it should do better than Taxus and Austrian pines, but seems like it does not
