Hey Y’all! I’m pretty new to bonsai, and trying to diversify from my p. Afra collection. I found some pretty cool “cedar” trees, and figured it wouldn’t hurt to try and make something cool out of them.

I dug them out in mid-January, and so far they’re looking ok in their wooden boxes. Any war stories or survival tips are welcome!

I have one more tree I’ll post later after I snag some pictures
 
Did it end up making it? There’s some experienced collectors in the Austin area. Joey McCoy comes to mind. I would reach out to the bonsai club for more help if you need it.
