I have active termite activity on a Trident Maple with pruning scars that are healing over. I can see the frass tubes. Is there anything I can use to treat this effectively?

I have Bayer 3-in-1 Tree and Shrub Insect, Disease and Mite concentrate, which contains imidacloprid. That's apparently used to control termites in home applications, but unsure if it would be appropriate here. Termites aren't listed on the label, but it is a systemic.

Would that work or is there another treatment that would be better? I'll provably start with the 3-in-1 today while collecting input.

I use the Bayer product on all my non-flowering trees each spring to take care of boring and sucking bugs. With flowering trees I hold off until after they flower as imidicloprid is toxic to bees and other pollinators.
