This is a Swamp/freshwater Paperbark that is endemic to southern Western Australia where I live. Species name is Melaleuca Raphiophylla.

I started this from tubestock purchased from a local garden nursery that specialises in native plants. These are fun to grow and develop pretty quickly with a tendency to thicken and muscle up in the trunk in a short time frame once they really get going.

May 2024 after cutting back from various view points. Still early days but it’s getting some character.
