Suthin ficus

Lovely twist - what type of ficus is it please? And knowing Suthin it'll have really small leaves.

All I did was buy it. One day I want to say I made one by myself.
I will keep trying to achieve this level.

Well I said I wasn't going to repot this one yet but it was not draining at all. It was a solid mass. Next spring I will have to do this again. I raked out the edges but to really get in there I am likely to do some damage. I will go with this through winter. IMG_8995.JPGIMG_8997.JPGIMG_8998.JPGIMG_8999.JPG

I did just see a microcarpa on auction with a potential for sumo. It reminds me of a sweet potato right now but it has potential.
Thanks! I did see that today...good movement..but...I want a larger sumo than that one. I want a HUGE chunky monkey. The trunk is only 2 1/2"... I want a sumo that fills my bare area on my lower shelf. I can't have those mesmerizing beast bonsai that ones move with a hydrolic lift cart. I want a huge chunky monkey sumo...to be my representation of one. I have one working to chop a large ficus...and let it recover down in Florida...and ship it come spring. With the intention of it having one huge base. ? good things come to those who wait. ? it will be worth it. I would rather pay for a large base and develop it...than get something started that isn't the size I am shooting for.

This photo had me saying...CHUNKEY MONKEY!!! That's what I want. A beast of a base. A two handed guy to move about.

Over winter growth stalled out on this one. To be honest I was a bit nervous that I might lose a few branches.
I am so happy right now with the growth that I’m seeing.
Last Wednesday I took a photo.93D23D7F-856B-4010-B03A-54F6C0300D67.jpeg

I do have a couple of challenges because it is a tiny tree and a cascade...
I am getting strong top growth and the mid section is not as strong.
See from this view. The top will need to be thinned out often this spring and summer. I am tipping the pot a bit to get better lighting now.
Those top branches are going to bulk up way too fast.4EBB7A38-CC6B-4C8C-9202-7AEC994CA8EB.jpeg
