Stoned...

Well... I was away for a couple days...
my phone was broken.

I also had some... decorating.... done in my house while the boys and I were out...

The two.. large, recent, textured drape pieces (I fixed the legs on the first one) exist no longer... didn't agree artistically with the decorator's ideas...

The trapezoid still exists.. all the pieces locked safe, downstairs, on the "greenware table" still exist... I cling to that.

I will be throwing more pieces to fill the void of those two..

but not yet.. my spirit hurts.

🥸 (my new phone has THIS guy)

Also..

If I had your phone number before... I do no longer... so a text identifying yourself would be MOST helpful to me.

🤓

Did someone break into your house?

Well... I tried to throw pieces already.. but couldn't "lock in".. and just ended up staring at a lump of clay... angrily, uninspired...

So to "Get my wheels back on the road" I decided to shift, momentarily, my focus toward another aspect of ceramics that I REALLY enjoy..

Glaze layer Experimentation.. and Custom Glaze Fabrication..

So I dove in slowly.. Finishing my Raw Glaze Experiment on the trapezoid (My ONLY remaining 2022 piece) and Constructing a few glaze testers (they are not COMPLETELY done yet) here are some pictures of last night's work.FADD7726-451F-49F3-84D6-0FA3DA4C1149.jpeg4152CD9D-27E6-4A82-B4CC-40EFB06CB28B.jpegCF09BC90-DBE5-48F9-ACAC-85E5D903EF9D.jpegBE7248E0-E3BC-4748-B46D-AB694CD6A2E4.jpeg807676F2-E649-42B4-AF99-AC2E0D8760FE.jpeg

Also.. whilst waiting for some of the 547 to rehydrate and reclaim.. I think I will take another clay body "for a spin"

@penumbra , you had mentioned that you had, at least some, experience with Seattle Co...Have you ever used this stuff? 19AD0978-7420-4BC3-AE0F-B39151C12B42.jpeg
I got this 25lb. chunk for 12 dollars, free shipping.. (LAST one.. damaged packaging)..

On Eugene Craigslist! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🥸😂😂🥸

It looks intriguing. I bought 2 clays from them. One is Fools Gold and the other I don't remember name but it is near black. They are just sitting in the shop unused because of my shoulder injury which has taken a turn for the worst the past few days. Don't know when I will be able to work clay again.
I almost bought some of that yellow but I guess its just as well I didn't at this point.

I'm sorry to hear that..

Has PT been... easy to comply with?

Was there a new instance/stress that aggravated it?

PT is great but no fun. This shoulder had a more serious injury about 12-14 years ago on the Appalachian Trail. Plus it had been battered around for over 40 years using a spade and digging bar. The most recent injury was the week before Thanksgiving and I should have done more than wait and see back then.
Paying the piper now.

Hopefully you'll recover quickly and be back at making some more awesome pots.

I'm sorry, friend.

In one of my former lives I was training UFC/MMA fighters in muscle-conditioning and 8-point combat. (I have no depth perception, so I could never get in the ring.. and thank god, too!.. Fighting for Sport, to me NOW, seems completely point AND sense LESS)... but during those Times, I was doing.. Eeeh let's just say a ridiculous amount of exercising each day.. prison style I ended up developing elbow tendonitis, above and below on left and just above on right.. The physician basically said that I needed rest days.. to which I replied, "Never heard of it.".. Long story short, I, realistically, only half-heeded the Drs advice.. and have to "start over" after every tendonitis "bout" because it's so aggressive now.. that the flareups can last weeks.. and If I do not rest those muscles DURING those 10-14 days afterwards.. it starts over again.

The Ouroboros Symbol/Image has been coming up, applicably, much in my life lately.

If it works it works, I wouldn’t ever question the “process” 😁
Hehe! Thank you for your understanding...but It's definitely not part of any specific CREATIVE process, you can't LET it be... Or else the individual's relationship to his/her/they/them/Traflmadorians/Skits from the Alphane Moon.. ect's art can become shallow.

Just part of ME!

My Body and Brain enjoy THIS medicine.. it takes place of MANY other synthetic would-be's.. which is good.. 'cause my organs hurt, DAMNIT.. and I'm crazy, DAMNIT!

😂😂😂😂

One of my favorites. When I was sculpting I made a few but sold hem years ago. If it is not being used you should use it as yoour trademark like Pitton does with a hummingbird.
