Sadly Tony Tickle posted on Facebook that Andy Pearson (aka Stone Monkey) has passed away.

He will be greatly missed. I remember when he began as a potter over on IBC and Gardenweb. He grew into a great
Innovative bonsai potter. One of the best

He was also a fellow bull terrier owner so he was also highly intelligent and had a great eye for beauty

I had been meaning to commission him to make me a bull terrier themed pot. He had one but sold it at a show a few months back.

Oh no, this is tragic! I did not know Andy personally, but I loved following his Instagram and YouTube pages.

I believe he had just recently retired (or decided to retire?) from his day job to be a full time potter, doing what he loved. So sad.

My heart sank when I saw that. He was a great guy and one of the first potters I chatted with about bonsai pots back in the IBC days. He will be greatly missed

No word of cause in anything I’ve read on FB (Minerai, Tickle,Holviva) It’s sudden no one saw this coming. Tragic.

I couldn't post this. I saw...his chop in black shared earlier today. Crying emojies by my friends across the pond adding up as I viewed it for the first time. I felt...cold. I wanted like heck...for it to be a misunderstanding. I sent a message...as I wanted clarification...I wanted to hear what my head thought happened...incorrect. Sadly... that was not the case. Gutted...beyond words. I'm tired of grief... I'm sick and tired of grief this year.

Andrew...had a spark that shown so bright. This world just grew a tad dimmer upon his death. I'll say that. He will be sorely missed my many. Myself included...

I'm just sad. I can't remember a time I didn't know him in my bonsai life.... Kinda like you rock.... Just wanting to hug old friends today a little tighter and a little more lovingly.
