Some trees I have to think about a bit before I pull the trigger, and others I can not click buy fast enough… this tree was the latter! 😂 I immediately fell in love with the spiral shape and tenjin on this tree. I am very excited to eventually get it into a show pot, and further develop Nick’s initial vision!!!

This tree was styled by Nick Sebesta, an amazing up and comer in the Northeast bonsai scene. I have chatted with him at just about every local bonsai convention, and he is a great guy to do business with. Can’t wait for this to come in the mail!!!

I also like the potential of this one.
No scale in the pics. Using the foliage for scale it looks bigger than shohin?

The top of the tenjin is 14 inches tall, and the top of the current apex is 8 inches. I have future plans to display it in a three point with one of my deciduous.

Awesome tree. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
I want to get more interaction between the deadwood and living parts of the tree. I will do this by “framing” the main features of the tree (the twisty trunk and the tenjin). I plan on letting this elongate and keeping your eye in the design more over time.

Very cool. Ill have to keep my eye out for something similar. I wonder where all of his trees are coming from.

Now that's some quality prebonsai! Similar movement to a Ponderosa pine yamadori I bought recently, never thought I'd like a spiraling trunk so much, in person I thought the tree was rather blah because of a long leggy cascade it has, till i squatted down and saw the tree. Photos just don't show the added girth and taper a spiraling trunk can add visually. Congrats on the awesome buy!
