This is my cascade spirea which I let bloom a little every year. This tree was originally the lowest branch on a bigger tree that was destroyed in a storm. I have finally been able to raise the roots enough to expose the woody base, which I will start to treat with like sulphur this year. This bonsai never looks that great in leaf but it is coming along. Here is a pic of the blooms and a shot from underneath so you can see the twisting turning trunk. It's a small bonsai, about 7 inches long in a 5 inch tall pot. It needs a better pot.

I like this one :) I've never tried this specie.- Do you mind sharing some history? Nursery stock, collected, years in development...etc?

Nursery stock I have had for about five years. It looked better a couple of years ago but I tore a big part of it off wiring it one spring. I am regrowing a couple of branches currently. Easy to grow hard to ramify.
